This is my interpretation of the Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge-Descent.
These stairs-around 200 of them, descend to one of the most beautiful temples in Sanjouli, Shimla. Dedicated to Baba Balaknath, it attracts scores of devotees, looking for the deity’s blessings.
The steep stairs are festooned with colourful prayer flags and the pious atmosphere pervades the pristine surroundings and the gentle stream that flows by.
