I am an avid reader and I started this blog as a way to share my reading. If reading is part of a person, can writing be far behind? I meant to write a lot of book reviews but sharing my life’s experiences, my perspectives has been equally addictive.
To have a blog also means that you get drawn into this wonderful community of bloggers. Many like minded, and others with a viewpoint so different from your own that you sit up and take notice. And end up being inspired.
I worship the written word and now I feel fascinated by the visual world captivated with lens and great sensitivity. I feel that every person has a mission in this world-which is of self expression. Words are my medium.
I love anything created by hands-all DIY projects, craft endeavours. I like trying out different cuisines and even reading about food. Yes, I like to eat too.
Travel must be the manna made in heaven. For now, I am an armchair traveller, piggybacking on other’s experiences. Soon… and you would read all about it in this blog.
I believe that positivity, mindfulness, gratitude are not just great words to be bandied about but ideas that can change our lives.

Hey hi..
I know we have talked so many a times before,
but I haven’t got through your About page…
and liked reading it ..!! 🙂
“I worship the written word” 🙂 So true, so many a times..!!
See you around..and keep writing wonders ..!!
Take care..

Thank you! Good that you did not visit my about page till now. It had minimal information and hid more than it revealed 🙂 However, with time i became more comfortable sharing details about me and updated the About page.

Don’t worry,
an “About” page is something,
in which you want others too see how you are..!!
You mould their perception about you,
and that’s why its called the “About” page ..!!
And you change it periodically as you discover more about yourself 🙂
You have a beautiful one ..!! 🙂

Hey!
I’m inviting you to join in the Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge. You are my day One Person.
All you need to do is choose one random image each day and write a a story behind the image.
You can write Fiction, non -fiction or a paragraph or merely a line describing your view behind choosing that image. The Picture does not necessarily have to be one you have taken. I hope this is not too bothersome.
Regards,
Umber

Thank you for the invitation. This is most interesting! I am quite excited about this challenge. I have only one question. Do the photos and stories need to be on consecutive five days?

I read in a comment above that your internet is very slow. I sympathise sincerely, but must tell you that it simply can’t be worse than ours! Ours isn’t only slow, but non-existent sometimes. We’ve lost connection three times in the last two months, the first time for almost a week! We live in a small village and can only use BT. But the signal we get out here is abysmal! Moan over …
An interesting About page – you have a nice wide range of interests. 🙂

Oh! I feel so much better about my internet connection now. Actually, it being slow does not annoy me much, I try to take that challenge in my stride and work late nights or early mornings.
Living in a small village must be blissful; far away from distraction and the rush!
Thanks for visiting the About page 🙂

Yes, the times you mention are better here too. Weekends are just hit and miss. Sometimes we just give up! 🙂

I like the makeover you gave to your blog.. Though, I don’t remember too well the old theme, I remember enough to know that it changed. This one looks interesting, cheery and the glass is inviting for a relaxed time in here.. 😉

Thanks so much! I am flattered that you noticed! I mostly read my favourites in my WP Reader and I don’t even know what themes my blogger friends have. Glad to know the wine glass spells an invitation and promises a good conversation. I did mean to replace it though 😀

And yes, a coffee cup would be more inviting to me.. 😀

It’s great to better make your virtual acquaintance. There is indeed something magic about the written word, a deep satisfaction in adding to the sum total of human wisdom and stories. I’m happy to share that joy with you. 🙂
