I espied a pair of shoes by the toy train railway tracks. Maybe the owner was in a hurry to board the train!

Thank you for the appreciation, Niranjan!
I have been dabbling in little poetic sounding pieces titled Small Stones / Mindful Writing. I love the simplicity and the depth of Japanese Haiku but I never tried writing it. I think the 5-7-5 structure was daunting.
So, please help!! 🙂

Espied! What a lovely archaic word. Its use peaked in the 1810s, had a minor revival in the 1930s, and has fallen rapidly since then.

I have a true love for a lot of archaic words. ‘Espied’ must have stuck from a previous reincarnation 😉
